April 1998 - July 1999, (Aug 1998 - July 1999, Contract) Software Engineer, De La Rue Card Systems.

Development of end user application for personalising GSM SIM. Provide technical support for Singapore, Taiwan and China. Creation of specification for GSM/PCN SIM personalisation. Co-ordination with French engineers.

Dec 1995 - Mar 1998,  Software Engineer, T&C Technologies Pte Ltd

Implemented a prepaid IC card ticketing system for Ice Skating Arena. Technology used include basic applied cryptography. Key issues include the implementation of security on a protected memory IC card.

Developed applications for GSM Subscriber Identification Module (SIM).

Developed the IC card loyalty system for The Mall and Emporium shopping chain in Thailand. System integration using components from various manufacturer, including IC (Smart) cards from Incard, ACS card reader, CIM card personalisation machine and Schlumberger EFTPOS terminal. Work in Thailand for a period of four months. Project co-ordination under tight schedule with Thai engineers. Developed front-end application for SQL backend server.

This is equivalent to a MSc degree with honour, majoring in Computer Science. Awarded with distinctive results in Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, Algorithms and Programming, and Microprocessors. My major includes the following subjects (in brief): RISC, Language Theory, Compiler, Logic Programming and Prolog, Linear and Dynamic Programming, Graphs Theory and Algorithms, Image Processing (including Morphological and Topological Operators).

My project focus on the segmentation of medical images (Computed Tomography). Developed an application to generate contour of segmented images and functions to edit the contours for lay-users. Technology applied includes generation of 3D models from a sequence of images and Optimum Approximation of Planar Curves with line segments.

Obtained distinctions in the following subjects: Microcomputer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Digital Electronics & Microprocessor Engineering, Computer Programming and Mechanical Engineering Science. I carried out my internship in Gemplus Technologies Asia (Smart Card) and ABB National Industries (High Power Transformer) for about 2 months each.
